Written Brief

Teams must submit their brief and the brief certification form (as separate PDFs) by December 15, 2025, at 5 PM ET.

Do not forget to add the four (4) digit order number to your brief certification form.

The AMCA National Brief Writing Competition is separate from the Oral Argument Competition at the National Tournament. Any two-person team meeting eligibility rules for the American Moot Court Association (AMCA) may participate

Beginning December 10, at 12:00 PM ET, coaches will be able to purchase brief registrations. Coaches will then receive a four (4) digit order number for each order, which must be entered on each brief’s certificate form.

Please note, brief registration closes December 15, 2025, at 12:00 PM ET.

Beginning with the 2025-2026 season, the AMCA will use a new ranking formula for the Written Brief Competition. Please be sure to review this formula.
