2026-2027

School Membership

A Note to the AMCA Community

Welcome to the 2026-27 championship season! AMCA looks forward to this season’s competitions and crowning champion oral advocates and brief writers next February.

In order to take part in the oral advocacy and brief writing competitions, schools must submit an authorization letter that meets the criteria set out in Rule 2.01. Once your letters are approved, schools must pay the registration fee. Schools must complete both of these tasks prior to registering for regional competition or submitting a brief.

The AMCA will begin reviewing Authorization Letters on July 1, 2026. In order to best ensure that your school can secure a place in regional oral advocacy competition, we ask you submit your authorization letter no later than August 31, 2026. By doing so, AMCA can review the letter prior to the opening of registration for regional oral advocacy competition.

While AMCA will review letters submitted after August 31, AMCA cannot guarantee that it will review them prior to the opening of registration.

Best of luck this season!
